Dr. Natalie van Veelen successfully completed her 4-year medical degree at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, British Columbia. During her two years of clinical experience at the Boucher Clinic Dr. van Veelen''s interest in chronic disease and terminal illness inspired her to complete a one-year clinical externship at Vancouver’s Friends for Life Society, a non-profit organization that supports individuals living with life threatening illness. Her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition obtained from UBC compliments Dr. van Veelen''s lifelong interests in nutrition and health. In her practice, as in life, she values communication and listening as salient tools used to gain a balanced evaluation of her patient’s physical and emotional states.
Drawing from Naturopathic modalities, Dr. van Veelen integrates clinical nutrition; botanical medicine; acupuncture; physical therapies; homeopathy; and nutritional and lifestyle counseling into her care. Dr. van Veelen also has additional training in intravenous therapy, neural therapy, trigger point injections, biotherapeutic drainage, and chelation therapy.

Full lab services are available, including yearly physical exams, Pap smears, digestive and stool analysis, urinalysis, heavy metal testing, pregnancy testing and cardiovascular screening. Dr. van Veelen is in good standing with the British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
